ALL OF US
Paul, an apostle, wrote in a Letter to the Church at Corinth, “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many.”
The Spirit gives gifts to every person (part) of the body for the common good of Christ. The Spirit does not give us gifts to do our ministry; he gives us gifts to do His (Christ’s) ministry. Every part is needed as Paul explains the Body of Christ like our human body… it needs all its parts to function well and no part is unneeded.
All of us are stronger than any one of us… regardless of what a big shot we think we might be.
“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.” Jesus
