COLLECTIBLE CARDS
Collectible Cards, or trading cards, come in various categories with sports cards being a large sector. But there are non-sports cards of various kinds that are valuable to collectors. I recently read a story about a 1997 Kobe Bryant (basketball) sports card that sold for $3.15 million. In 2021 a Lebron James (basketball) card sold for $5.2 million. The most sports card ever sold for was Mickey Mantle (baseball) for $12.6 million in 2022.
Outside of sports, the most expensive trading card ever was a Pokémon card that sold for $16.492 million in 2026. (I had to look up what Pokémon meant. I don’t want to know any more than I found out. It’s a Japanese phrase that means ‘Pocket Monsters.’)
But all of this has given me an idea. I am going to have some trading cards made with my picture and name and showing statistics about types of edible cookies, proper cheese, best taco types, cake (chocolate), coffee (Cuban), and various other correct foods. Then I will also include a series on Wisdom Lists of various kinds. That sort of thing. They will all be called Guide Cards.
The first ten cards of each series will sell for $20,000 each. The next tier will be a broader level and sell for $8,000 and the final level will be the $2,000 Guide Cards. They are not quite ready yet…but I am taking pre-orders. Just a heads-up…it will soon be hard to get my Collectable Cards.
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” Jesus
