Much is said and written about happiness and what it is and how we might attain it. Happiness has as many definitions as people we may ask: bass fishing, bird watching, bicycling, barbequing, Bible study, beach bumming, baseball, babies, bacon, belonging… whatever.
Happiness also has the distinct possibility of being something different tomorrow than it was today, or next year than this year. For me the basic guideline is one I read years ago:
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony.”
Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)
“When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” (NLT) Jesus
