THE EVERYWHERE GOD
There is a very strange thing that can go on in our minds concerning the Lord. It has to do with cognizance or knowledge, awareness, or notice that is completely present with a supernatural God. The strange part comes when we assume somehow in our minds that if something is known privately, good or evil, and other people do not know about it… then neither does God. It seems justifiably hidden in our own weird way of reasoning. But, the Father who made everything… knows everything.
This can be the God that is too big to be known or understood, but is also the testimony of scripture that the Father is just such a God. Jeremiah, a prophet, who prophesied for over fifty years, said of God, “I am everywhere both near and far, in heaven and on earth. There are no secret places where you can hide from me.” Hiding is for the naïve and immature. What we discover as we grow and know the love of the Father is that not only can we not hide, but we would never want to. The prophet says, “There are no secret places where you can hide from me,” and we say, “Praise Him! There are no secret places where we cannot be found by him.”
The everywhere God is the indwelling Spirit of Jesus that will never leave us or forsake us.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand”. Jesus
