ROADS

It is too simple it seems to just say that roads, or choice of roads, take us to our destinations. For example: An old road will take us to an old destination and a new road will take us to a new destination. Now GPS has just about taken all the fun out of getting lost, taking long short cuts, and going a way out of our way to get somewhere. But we need to know where we are going… what road we are on.

Jesus made a similar contrast with paths, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.” (Amplified Version)

We really need to know where we going… what road we are on. Don’t expect to get to the right place on the wrong road.

“For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Jesus
