GOVERNMENT OF GOD

The Kingdom of God is the rule and reign of the Father God over all things and all peoples. The King of this Kingdom is Jesus Christ the Son. The power to live and enjoy this Kingdom is the Holy Spirit of the Father. Those who have accepted by faith that Jesus is both Lord and Savior of humans become willing subjects of the Kingdom way. The Kingdom of God is a Spiritual Kingdom with Spiritual subjects.

We also have Civil Governments of various kinds that rule people according to the political philosophy of a specific nation and government. We each have the responsibility of understanding our specific government and how we can serve and support our government without compromise to the higher government of the Kingdom of God. This is not always easy and in fact can be very difficult and dangerous.

The most dangerous and explosive situation is when politics and religion are mixed and considered equal. This is a recipe for disaster. We have two governments: The Government of God and Civil Government. They are two, not one.

If God is not our government…then the Government becomes our god.
