How strange it would be to intentionally limit our participation in extra curricular, business, community, or church programs for the sake of family mealtime or a quiet evening at home. To limit ourselves, and our children, from all these good activities, sports, opportunities and advantages designed to further our development seems socially ludicrous and even cruel and uncaring.
What we must see is that we are developing very young children to be as busy as we are and with the same stress and anxiety to be significant through their busyness. These little people are exhausted from the same absorption and same delusions that parents have imposed on them even though this is done with good intention and motive it is still excessive busyness.
“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Jesus
