WISDOM LIST #19
How to Choose A Taco
There are a good many suggestions and ideas about what a ‘good taco’ looks like and tastes like. It is also obvious that many of these opinions are from people who have limited experience with Tacoology. Tacoology is the study and application of the art of content and kind of tacos. Thou shouldest not listen to thy neighbor who knowest nothing about this subject.
The first thing in choosing a taco is to pick a flour or corn tortilla (usually corn). Once this is done a person then proceeds to choosing the filling for the taco. There are basically only two tacos that should be eaten by a normal person: Carnitas’s Tacos (pork) and Carna Asada Tacos (beef). The meat should be cooked in various Mexican spices for full flavor. On the meat should be white onions diced, cilantro diced and jalapeño’s. It is acceptable to add Pico de Gallo. That’s it. The word Carnitas’s Tacos is in the dictionary right next to the word perfect… as it should be.
Just as important in Taccoology is what one should not eat. Yeah, stay thyself away from the following:
Fish Tacos (tacos de pescado)
Chicken Tacos (tacos de pollo)
Vegetable Tacos (tacos verduras)
Taco de Sesos (goat or cow brains)
Shrimp Tacos (tacos de camarones)
Eel Tacos (tacos de anguila)
Octopus Tacos (Tacos de Pulpo)
Etc.
So, the idea is simply to keep thyself away from any tacos that are filled with something other than Pork or Beef.
