WHERE IS IT?
“Where is it? We are so sick and tired of looking. Where is this new thing?” I think many are tired of waiting, tired of looking and hearing the flat prophetic voice of our day. Our answer will be, and shall ever be, “The Lord is the Light, and the Lord is the Glory.” (Isaiah 60:2) There is no other. His Name is Jesus. In fact, He wants everyone to “arise and shine”, and He wants His light to shine upon us. And He wants His glory to rest upon us.
Isaiah adds, “The Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you.” This refers to His presence and His beauty. Where is it? Perhaps our ‘end times’ ideas are getting in the way of ‘now time’ realities. Since the resurrection and the giving of the Holy Spirit to every believer… what are we waiting for the Lord to do that He hasn’t already done?
Yes, there is a ‘New Time’ when the Lord will appear in some fashion to consummate the age and begin the “new heaven and new earth” but until then, ‘Rise and Shine’ and let His presence and beauty be upon the people of God. Where is it? It is here and now, in us and for us until we get further instructions.
“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no man can work.” Jesus
