WHAT WE HEAR

My friend Bruce said, “We need to shut up and be quiet so our Father can hear what Jesus is praying for us.” (Reference: Romans 8:34-39)

What sound are we hearing on the earth today?
What are we hearing in this nation? In our cities?

Psalms 48:8
“As we have heard, so have we seen.”

What we have heard displays what’s in our heart concerning our life, our worship, our meditations, prayers, contemplation, our children, the youth, the future…whatever we hear is what we see.

The Book of Hebrews says, “Today, if you hear his voice.” God set a day to hear his voice: Today.

Then this from Hebrews 4:1-2, “Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it.  For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.”

Have we prepared ourselves, and a whole generation, to fail…because we do not listen? Or, we are prepared because “we are untied by faith with those who did listen.”

God set a day to hear his voice: Today.

“But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.” Jesus
