WARRING FAITH
We need to fight for freedom with warring faith. Something in us must rise up to call on God to destroy the enemies of his people. We need emotional, intellectual and socio-psychological cries to go up to God, with full knowledge that these are not the complete answer. The silent God of power and majesty is approached and grasped by faith. Without this we simply set Him aside and he is abandoned as a useless object. This is practical atheism, which is more dangerous than philosophical atheism, since it subtly penetrates the mind and it’s thought processes. It is a new god of the New Age and is a ‘spirit of the world.’
Warring faith fights all of our enemies. We should come to the place of believing that the enemies of God are our enemies.
“‘The Lord will fight for you, all you need to do is keep silent” (Exodus 14:14). Warring faith in silence… what a paradox.
Jesus, keep me silent to hear your voice and your ways. Keep me from a complaining and critical heart. Help me recognize any new gods that come into my life. Help me not to whine about your direction for me. Give me freedom and liberty.
“Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” Jesus
