TRYING FOR SILENCE

Silence is paying attention to God. This can be a tough assignment if silence threatens us and if God threatens us.

Even while I write and think on paying attention I somehow have a way of avoiding silence and avoiding the Father. Trying for silence may be the least effective way of finding it.

I read somewhere that if our words will not contribute to the silence then we should say nothing. Also, a common quote is: “Silence is God’s first language.” With that I will stop trying for silence and get back over on my side of the pond and be silent. Maybe plant some radishes and green beans.
