TRINITARIAN THOUGHTS
I have always, like many others, tried to understand the Trinity. In the night recently I asked the Lord to help me understand this Trinity thing. I heard nothing for a long time and then I heard:
“Like a foot in a sock and the sock in a shoe,
What else can I do for you?”
This just so smacks against my desire for composite reason and scriptural concourse thinking. But then I thought of all the goofy other examples I have heard through the years: The Egg- shell, white and yolk or the Apple- Skin, meat and core. I think I will stay with the ‘foot in a sock and the sock in a shoe.’ Otherwise we have to go into knee deep theological explanations that can put one into more disbelief than faith. I have explored some of those caves.
With the ‘foot in a sock and the sock in a shoe’ we can be reminded every morning as we dress and evening when we undress. Thank you Father, Son and Holy Spirit. What else can I do for you?
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Jesus
