TO BE A SON

Jesus knew God as Father and He served Him as Son. He was truly Son to God as God was Father to Him. It is a certain kind of truth that says, ‘no one knows God except the Son,’ and the greater truth is that the only way to know the Father is to be the son. The only way to know God is to know Him as Father, for that is the only actual relation we can bear to Him. Sons know and realize the Father by bearing His nature, by sharing His Spirit and living His life.

To be a son is to do what the Father would do.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” Jesus
