THE WAY IT IS

I did it the way I was doing it
Because I didn’t know what I was doing
Just because I was doing it
Does not mean I was doing it
As I should

I said it the way I said it
Because I didn’t know how to say it
Just because I said it that way
Does not mean I know what
I was saying

I was thinking it the way I was because
I didn’t know what I was thinking
Just because I was thinking that way
Does not mean I know what
I was thinking

We are always doing something
Even when we are doing nothing
Sometimes it is doing something right
Sometimes it isn’t
That’s the way it is
