THE REAL JESUS

The real Jesus will never be found in the environment of a competing Jesus. The two don’t mix and they don’t match. Jesus is simple and pure and among us and like us. The complicated and religious Jesus is now housed in holy boxes, in holy buildings, with holy smoke, and decorated in finery and kingly trappings and attended to by people in religious costumes that He steadfastly refused to be a part of while living among us (John 6:15; 18:36-37). The real Jesus is just among us by the power of the Holy Spirit as he is among the poor, the sick, the displaced and lost, the wealthy, the well, the found and all brothers and sisters who by faith have believed solely in him without the need of competition or competitors.
