THE NEW GENESIS

The Garden of Eden was the place God prepared for the original man and woman for the purpose of dwelling and communing with them. As we go through history since the Garden we see tabernacles/temples that existed/exist as places where heaven and earth met or God and mankind met to dwell and commune together.

There are Seven Structures mentioned in the Bible for dwelling and communing:
1. The Tabernacle of Moses
2. The Tabernacle of David
3. The Temple of Solomon
4. Zerubbabel’s Temple
5. The Temple of Herod
6. The Temple of Ezekiel’s Vision
7. The Temple, which is the Body of Christ (His church)

“When Jesus came, he eliminated the need for a temple being in a single location. Christians became the temple of God, a house for his Holy Spirit. Because of his blood that made us clean, we can now be considered pure and holy enough to have God’s Spirit live in us. We have become a meeting place between heaven and earth to bring other people in to commune with God.” Everything the temple was for Israel, we are to be to the world.
We are no longer in a ‘Go to the Temple Model’ but instead have become ‘The Temple’ … the dwelling place of God. Jesus is the New Genesis… the new Garden of Eden. We are the Temple of Jesus.
