THE JOSEPH ROOM
I recently commented to Roz on how much I liked the Purple Fitted Sheets on our bed. She quickly explained to me that they were not Purple, but Eggplant. I knew better than to ask what color Eggplants were although most of them I have ever seen in my life were Purple.
So we decided to re-paint our room to match the Eggplant Fitted Sheets. When it was all done… we just called it the Joseph Room because of the many beautiful paint colors. Wow-we! The Jalapeno Poppers and Chinese Lantern contrasted with the Himalayan Salt and Café Latte and this was accented in Persian Bazaar and Whale’s Mouth. It is a very comfortable room, no…really; it is a very colorful and comfortable room. Also, it was the first time I actually knew the colors of Joseph’s Coat. (Note: All the above colors are Kelly-Moore Paint actual colors)
Silly me… I learned my colors way-back-when: ”First invented in 1903, (about the same year I was born) the original Crayola box contained only eight colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown, and black.” I just did not know about Whale’s Mouth back then but the neighborhood I lived in would have much preferred that to pink or light red if we had only known about it…or the inside your mouth gums color. My original Crayola’s however have rather formed my color palette by the time I was six years old. The Sheets may be Eggplant but they sure seem like they are Purple to me. According to Roz, I need to catch up on this stuff… a lot of stuff. So I searched around and found some Wood Fire-Cranberry-Muskrat-Cinnamon scented Candles for our New Joseph Room and everything is just perfect. These candles are called Toasted Bliss but they sure seem like they are dark red… but, hey. How fortunate to have all these choices.
