THE GARDEN PLACE

The Garden is the place where we are supposed to live. From the earliest stories until now it is where we humans belong. The earth is our home. The Garden is our home in our earth home. We only truly feel at home in this Garden environment. An environment of trees, rivers, flowers, animals, rocks, birds, fish, plants, grass and sky has always been God’s intention for us.

When we are aware of God’s creation of lights, firmaments (heavens), earth, seas, birds, fish, sun, moon and stars, animals and humans, we are completely aware of our Garden home. When we are not, of course, we feel ‘out of place,’ disconnected, detached and alienated.

God inhabits the Garden with us and shares life with us. God lives inside of us inside the Garden inside the earth. This seems to be the order.
