THE DOOR

This thought came concerning The Paschal Lamb in Exodus 12: (see January 21, 2024 Journal entry ‘The Paschal Lamb’).

Jesus said, “I am the door…” (John 10:7,9) The blood in Exodus 12: “some of the blood of the Passover Lamb was to be put on the sides and top of the door-posts of every house.” (Exodus 12:7) “But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.” (12:13). Jesus is the Door and Jesus is the Blood.

The blood has been applied to the door that came from the Door to assure life everlasting for those under this Passover blood… This is double-dipping logic.
Jesus is the Door, he is the Passover Blood, he is Passover Bread, he is the Sacrifice, he is the Lamb without blemish, he is the Atonement, he is the sign over our house, he is the memorial feast, he is the permanent ordinance, he is the one to not allow the destroyer into our house, he is the covenant. Jesus is everything and has done it all. “It is finished.”
