THE CHANGE

For real change to happen we have to change ourselves, or have God change us. Either way, we are changed, but with God we are changed into new people, new creatures.

Often it is very difficult to change ourselves or to ask for help to change. We can become so discouraged, beat-up and bummed out that the suggestion of change is overwhelming. Often a well-meaning person advises us to pray more and read our Bible more. Really? Talk about overwhelmed.

The change for me is simply crying out to the Lord in some fashion and saying I don’t know what to do, what to ask for, what to think or where to go. After this… to sit quietly and wait for some tiny change that might turn into a bigger change. By faith it will be so by the mercy of the Father.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Jesus
