THE CALLING # 3

Perhaps the greatest instruction concerning The Calling (or our calling) was written by Paul, an apostle, in his letter to the Corinthians:

“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him” 
(1 Corinthians 7:17) Or, live as you were called. Do what you have been called to do.

Or equally as great, Peter, another apostle, wrote:
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10)

We have four things the Lord has promised us in our calling: He will restore us, confirm us, strengthen us and establish us. That just about covers it.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Jesus
