THE APOSTLE’S CREED
“I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day, he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic [universal] Church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”
This is what Christians have believed for centuries. Although there have been many other deceptive and detouring doctrines. My only concern is that it never mentions the Kingdom of God. Hey, even those old monks and theologians might have made a few mistakes. I believe in many other things but The Apostle’s Creed is the pot where I plant my main flower.
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.” Jesus
