SMARTY PANTS

So often when our anger and frustration get the best of us… we also become Smarty Pants. Smarty Pants is when we display intelligence or ignorance in an annoying and unkind way as a result of our anger and impatience.

It is like Dallas Willard (1935-2013) once said, “Everything that can be accomplished with anger can be accomplished better without it.”

A real Smarty Pants is someone who talks and behaves like they know everything. They don’t, we don’t, you don’t and I don’t…except when I am being a Smarty Pants. No one likes a Smarty Pants. We do not like it in others and for sure should not like it in ourselves.
