SHOWER CURTAINS #8
After warning my friend E.L. in Oklahoma about the dangers of using a straight shower curtain rod instead of a bowed rod so the wet plastic curtain could not come over and damage a person while showering because of the close proximity of the wet slimy curtain to the person, he said he took his straight shower curtain rod out to the barn and bent it to put a bow in it… then took it inside and it was too short for the shower opening. Take a lesson from E.L. on this problem. I suggested he shorten the shower tub stall opening about 16”. Simple. Now the bowed shower curtain rod should fit perfectly.
E.L. knows he has been very fortunate not to have any greater misfortune and loss than he does. He is basically sound psychologically and physically. He is also a spiritual person and decided to take his old shower curtain and the straight rod and make a prayer booth out of them (much like the Feast of Booths five days after the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 23). Sometimes people don’t see E. L. for 4-5 days at a time and his wife has to go pull him out of the booth.
But he seems about halfway normal most of the time. He is not on many medications and is continually thanking the Lord for narrowly missing a disaster in the shower. He talks a lot about grace.
No, really this is what happened.
