SEARCHER OF HEARTS
God knows our hearts. That can be a good and comforting thing or it can be a frightening thing. It depends on our honesty with ourselves. We can run…but we cannot hide.
The Psalmist wrote,
“You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?”
Once we become more mature in the Presence of the Lord, we will quickly and easily pray the latter words in this Psalm:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!”
(Book of Psalms 139)
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Jesus
