REASONABLE
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) mathematician, physicist, inventor and theologian wrote, “There are two kinds of people one can call reasonable, those who serve God with all their heart because they know him and those who seek him with all their heart because they do not know him.”
I suppose the unreasonable would be the person who does neither. There seems to be plenty of those. I find there are fewer people seeking to ‘know God.’ I also think this is why we are hearing more and more about the sudden appearances of Jesus to various individuals at night and as they go along with normal life activities. Sometimes something unreasonable must happen to cause someone to become reasonable. I am reminded of the apostle Paul on the Road to Damascus and the sudden appearance of the Lord to confront and convict him to seek the Father and his Kingdom. (See Acts of the Apostles 9:1-9)
“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” Jesus
