PRAYER IS WAITING
“Prayer is waiting, intending, and desiring God. Prayer, we might say, is a holding on to God, until waiting, waiting, waiting, we move into the knowledge that we are being held.” Robert Llewelyn
Robert Llewelyn died, aged 98, in February 2008. He became Chaplain of Julian of Norwich’s cell in Norwich, England in 1976 and his “praying, welcoming presence” there, together with his books about this fourteenth century visionary, brought Julian’s work to greater prominence. As well as his role as priest, writer, spiritual director, speaker, Robert Llewelyn had a profound pastoral ministry.
