POTATO CHIPS
Potato chips are like computers in that they are updated often. The largest Potato Chip company is Lay’s (Frito/Lay) owned by PepsiCo. The industry has developed its own potato for making chips called ‘The Chipper’… what else? It takes 4-5 potatoes to make a 12 oz. bag of chips. Americans consume about 20 pounds of chips per person annually (no, really?).
To keep it interesting for the chip eater the companies have produced these flavors: BBQ, Cheddar and Sour Cream, Chile Limon, Classic, Deli Style, Dill Pickle, Flamin’ Hot, Korean BBQ, Smoked Gouda and Chive, Honey BBQ, Fiery Roasted Habanero, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Sriracha, Chicken and Waffle, Mango Salsa, Bacon and Mac & Cheese, Southern Biscuit and Gravy, New York Rueben, Cappuccino, West Coast Truffle Fries, Greek Onion Gyro… to name a few, and the three latest: Fried Green Tomato, Bagel with Sour Cream and Crispy Taco.
The chips also come in various shapes: Wavy, Lattice Cut, Pringles (scoop) and Classic (normal).
Just wanted you to know that I am a little behind on my 20-pound portion and need to get chomping. Maybe you do too.
“Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him.” Jesus
