OCTOPUSES
I once read where Octopuses have eight tentacles…I already knew that much… but then I learned that of the eight tentacles with suctions cup things on them; are really a combination of six arms and two legs… who figured this deal out? They all look the same. The same people figured out that two of the creepy tentacles with suction cups on them were two creepy arms and the other six were creepy legs? I do not know who spent good honest time figuring this out.
This is exactly what causes Information Indigestion and causes our motor sensory systems to fail… our arterial system to fail, our psychological systems to fail and our common decency and normal being human systems to fail…by knowing and thinking about …which ones are the two arms and …which ones are legs… Oh, my… The apostle John wrote, “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:3) I guess I have to go with that.
It is off to the other side of the pond and I will not be looking into the water by pond side just in case there happens to be…real or imagined …a creepy six-legged two-armed thing with suction cups in the pond. May it never be dear Lord. I really do not like anything about Octopuses. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The Lord does not make many mistakes… but Octopuses just might have been one. Forgive me Lord. I’m staying up on the porch and looking out over the pond while I have my Cuban Coffee and Peanut Brittle because all of this creeps me out.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind. When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.” Jesus
