NOW, NOT LATER

The work of Jesus is to take us to the Father…now, not later. It is often taught and thought that Jesus is here to take us to the Father…when we die or when we ‘go to heaven’ etc.

But Jesus is the explainer of the Father that he takes us to… now, not later. He exegetes (interprets the texts concerning) the Father such as John 1:16-18, “For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.”

The Father that Jesus takes us to is linked to the Kingdom and Discipleship meaning we are under the righteous rule and reign of the Father now, not later.
Disciples encounter the Father in Jesus… In His Kingdom ways, teachings and actions.

The Father that Jesus takes us to is our Fatherly authority and Fatherly care for our protection and wholeness now, not later. The love and faithfulness of the Father is from beginning to the end.

The Father Jesus takes us to; provides for our earthly needs and salvation now, not later. Salvation and filling with the Spirit of God is now, not later… not ‘when we get to heaven.’

Everything the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are later…they are now. Later will just be more. We have the presence of the full-blown trinity now. It is now and later. It is later and now. Yahoo!
