LIVING NOW
We should be encouraged by hope in the midst of seemingly great fears and concerns. There is a broad opinion floating around that we are in ‘the Last Days’ and that ‘the end is coming very soon.’ Well, I suppose it may or may not, be soon, but what possible difference it makes is beyond me if one truly belongs to Jesus. Belonging to Him does mean something for The Last Days, but it means incredibly more for living now. We do not live for future life but in eternal life. That is the principle that must be the guiding light. If the ending point of earth life as we know it, is about spent, then we simply live on in the eternal life we have begun when we received and accepted the invitation and demands of Jesus and His kingdom. Our hope is in Christ and not the timing and events of the Second Coming. Whenever He comes, it is His presence in this age and the age to come that we should desire and the process that took us there.
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,] but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Jesus
