NOT ALONE
We are of the Kingdom and we have a King. We are sons and daughters, and we have a Father. Regardless of what man may, or may not do, we are not alone. Know that others will desert us emotionally, leave us physically, check out on us during a difficult time, forget us, or ignore us; but King Jesus will never leave us alone.
Jesus did not say He needed Peter and John for comfort. He did not mention that the home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were a place for him to belong (although they probably were). Jesus belonged because the Father said he would never leave Him alone. Companions and belonging are great if they’re available. But they don’t always last. However, Jesus’ presence lasts forever. He has not left us alone. Fear not, beloved, you are not alone. Jesus said, “I will never leave nor forsake you.”
Although the Father is with us and we are not alone, it is wonderful and right to have the companionship of friends and family, brothers and sisters. Truthfully sharing with those we trust enables us not to feel alone.
“Indeed the hour is coming, yes and now has come, that you will be scattered each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” Jesus
