NEW KIND OF MAN
C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) wrote, “For mere improvement is not redemption, though redemption always improves people even here and now and will, in the end, improve them to a degree we cannot yet imagine. God became man to turn creatures into sons: not simply to produce better men of the old kind but to produce a new kind of man.”
Paul, an apostle, wrote in the Letter to the Romans, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
The New Man is a Spirit Man… a Spirit Person. We are born of the Spirit, led by the Spirit, adopted by the Spirit, filled with the Spirit. We are a new Spiritual creation called sons. This is the new kind of man.
“If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Jesus
