MESSIANIC RULE
We are under Messianic Rule because the Messiah has come, and will come again. The rule does not start when He ‘comes again.’ It started when he came the first time and before the first time. It is easy to build a wall between the two ‘comings.’ The kingdom is now and not yet. There is a more glorious time coming, but the kingdom is already here and always will be. If we accept the King and the Kingdom we are a part now and will be a part later. Like eternal life, the kingdom is not future, but now. To not see them as such is to also build a wall between us and the God of today, and of right now, and tomorrow.
We have full access into all of God. If that isn’t so, none of it is so. We are waiting for nothing except to be surprised by more. “We have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God (us), let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” (Hebrews 10:19-22). We are not walled out. We make the choice to be walled in by His love. What a Master!
Lord, when I build walls to protect my insecurities and inabilities, would you come and build yourself around me as my wall of hope. Amen.
“And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.” Jesus
