MATURE GROWING
Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). It is the vine that produces the branch. It is the branch that produces the fruit. It is the vine that sustains the branch and the fruit. We become like what we are attached to. We spring forth from the vine and stay connected to it until “Christ is formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). When this has happened the branch bears fruit. The fruit always looks like where it came from. The seed of the top-most fruit has the life of the deepest root. This unbreakable process shall last forever; every plant and tree will bear after its kind.
Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. (Genesis 1:11 NLT)
And every mature growing thing carries within it the seed for the next generation of itself.
“He who abides in me, and I in him, he bears much fruit.” Jesus
