MAKING RESOLUTIONS
Making resolutions is easy. It seems to me that as soon as we make a resolution and tell someone… it is already on it’s way to being broken. This is because real resolve is private, personal and down deep in the gut. I may write it down… but you should not be reading it.
Jonathon Edwards (1703-1758) once said, “Resolution One: I will live for God. Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will.”
We choose our light and our way. Someone else may help us to be resolute in our determinations, but the last line is: If I make the resolution… I must do the resolution.
“John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.” Jesus
