JACOB’S LADDER IIII

This is the last entry on Jacob’s Ladder dream as he stopped to rest in Luz on his way from Beersheba to Haran (Genesis 28:10ff). This entry is to connect the Ladder as Mediator.

Jesus said in the very beginning of his earthly ministry, “l tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.” The original language says, “going up and down on the Son of Man.” The reference is to Genesis 28:10-17 and Jacob’s Ladder. No verse could more clearly reference Jacob’s Ladder.

“For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5), Paul, an apostle, wrote to Timothy.

Paul also wrote to the Corinthians,
“Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God. There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But for us, “There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:4-6)

There is one stairway between heaven and earth: Jesus

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.” Jesus
