INTEGRITY
According to the dictionary there are two main ideas with the term integrity: 1. It is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. 2. The state of being whole and undivided. Or, the condition of being unified, unimpaired, or sound in construction.
I suppose integrity defined this way is the cure for most of our ailing culture. In other words, what would not be helped with more ‘being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness… by being whole and undivided, unified and unimpaired.’
At a personal level we all know this is true because the moment there is a lack of integrity our consciences seem to quickly let us know. The Holy Spirit is given to us for just such things.
“It is true that integrity alone won’t make you a leader, but without integrity you will never be one.” Zig Zigler (1926-2012)
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Jesus
