HOW IT GROWS
How do we grow things? Nobody knows but everybody knows. If the next generation of Kingdom lovers and servants is to be produced we will need to focus clearly on this parable of Jesus: “And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
This parable is the mystery of the Lord producing in the natural. The power of God causes things to grow, but it is still our responsibility to sow the seeds and water them deeply if we expect a crop. We cannot let the religion of green house Christianity pass for sowing into the next generation. We must sow in good soil wherever we find it, cultivate it and keep on watering.
“As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” Jesus
