HIDDEN THINGS

At least three things are seemingly apparent that make hidden things not so hidden: Instant news through social media, cell phones and the inundation of video cameras. There are few secrets anymore.

I have truly wondered if Jesus meant there would be two times when ‘nothing would be hidden.’ Perhaps now is one of those times and end of time the other.

“For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” (John 8:17)

“Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.” (Luke 12:3)

The old saying was: ‘If you have nothing to hide… you don’t care what people know.’ I think that is only partially true. We all have secret space within that is ours alone and when others get into that space, however they get there, it seems like a violation if they were not invited.
