HEART FELT GOD
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) once wrote:
“The heart has its reasons, which reason does not know. We feel it in a thousand things. It is the heart, which experiences God, and not the reason. This, then, is faith: God felt by the heart, not by the reason.”
It seems it is very easy to be convinced in our reasoning that we “believe the right things” and are therefore right. It also seems to me that this is possible without the application of any faith but strictly an intellectual and academic process or belonging to ‘the right group.’ Those who have it all figured out are scary to me.
