GOOGLE BRAINS
In the night I heard this phrase: “We are over-instructed in most things. The Information Age is making us numb with tidbits of this and that until we are over-instructed. We have Google brains.”
I also think it has made us much less capable of common reasoning power and problem solving skills. As we depend on over-instruction we leave nothing to our imagination and the mystery of processing. Just click Google… or just don’t.
Paul, an apostle, wrote, in 2 Timothy 3:7: “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Over instruction is a good way to not be instructed by “always learning but not coming to knowledge.” Silence and rest from thumb-pecking a screen might bring us new satisfaction, peace and joy.
“As it is written in the Scriptures, ‘they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.” Jesus
