GOOD AND LOVING FATHER

It is only from God the Father, through God the Son and by God the Holy Spirit that we can have and know God and be recipients of eternal life. The Father’s Self-revelation is in His Son, Jesus, and the receptivity and appropriation of the Son is the work and communication of the Holy Spirit. Grace is to express the eternal and essential characteristics of the Father. It is His disposition revealed in Jesus Christ.

The greatest understanding of this good and loving Father is to see His genius in sending His Son to manifest His giving rather than receiving. Worship is simply our attempt to be thankful for such actions. As His creation we are the order and nature He has chosen where He can display His giving, His love, goodness and matchless beauty of grace through Jesus to impart Himself to us. The true nature and law of all things is not what they are going to be, but what they are already. That is, that love, giving, serving and sacrifice are life, and hate, selfishness, injustice and oppression are death. One produces light and the other darkness. Knowing God through Jesus is not simply thought and speech, but is common to others and us as it becomes common in conduct, character and life. The grace from Jesus, which is the Father’s love, and goodness is only and immediately and finally the work in us by the Holy Spirit.
