GOD’S IMAGE

Modern medicine and the doctors of this science are given the responsibility to keep us looking like we were made in ‘God’s image’ and I wonder if they look at us and think….
I have to go way back in time on this one…
I need to completely start over at some point…
There are some major repairs to do here…
I need to start at the Garden…
What is this God’s image thing?
Was this person ever even close to God’s image?
Was God this fat? (Who want’s a fat God?) A fat worshipper… (I think I have seen some religious expressions like that come to think of it)
Or, was God this skinny?
Did I go to med-school long enough?
Do I need to get more sleep?

The fact is there is no physical way for poor well intending doctors to make us new again. I appreciate very much what they do. They can fix what they can fix and I am thankful for that. God’s Image is no doctor’s specialty.

“The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
(2 Corinthians 4:4)

Or, we ask the Spirit of Jesus to make new and into the image of Jesus so we are like the Father… the image is not physical at all. If we want God’s Image it will take the Great Physician.

“How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “Truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
