GOD WANTS US

To other religions we must say: You are right to want to know God, you are right to adore Him, to love Him, to want to draw closer to Him. However, you are much more right than you think, because God is much better than you think. He has taken all the steps to meet you, which you imagine you are taking to meet Him. He is the One who has moved toward you and not you toward Him. He loves you even when you do not love Him. He calls you. He puts out his hand to draw you in. The hunger that you think you have for God is nothing in comparison with the hunger God has for you.

Man can do without God, or attempt to do without God, but God cannot do without man, since He became man-God. A son can deny his father, but a father cannot deny his son. “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will never forget you” (Isaiah 49:15).

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Jesus
