GOD OF THE UNIVERSE
It is common to hear the term “God of the universe.” This usually points to the stars and galaxies and vastness of space and trillions of light years and such things beyond the human mind to comprehend. I rarely think of the God of the universe. I am more apt to think of the Father who is able to forgive my anger, to love me beyond my ungratefulness and to come running up the road to meet me as I return from all my mental, emotional and physical journeys into foreign places.
The God of the universe (even the Creator God) is ‘out there somewhere’ to me. This is not diminishing the power and majesty of the Lord. It is simply that his power and majesty is more personal and less a God of space and timelessness. Thinking quantum thoughts of a Father is beyond my ability. For example: Quantum- Physics a discrete quantity of energy proportional in magnitude to the frequency of the radiation it represents.
• an analogous discrete amount of any other physical quantity, such as momentum or electric charge.
• Physiology the unit quantity of acetylcholine released at a neuromuscular junction by a single synaptic vesicle, contributing a discrete small voltage to the measured end-plate potential. Huh?
I have to leave such thoughts to Yancey, John and my smart brother Dale. God is just a Father to me.
“Abba, Father, all things are possible for you.” Jesus
