FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

The phrase Five-Fold Ministry usually refers to Ephesians 4:11: “he himself gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers.” It is a reference to the five equipping gifts mentioned by Paul, an apostle, to the church in Ephesus.

The same Paul wrote about another Five-Fold Ministry in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14:
“Stay alert,
Stand firm in the faith,
Show courage,
Be strong. 
Everything you do should be done in love.”

This is great five-fold encouragement as we are being equipped.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.” Jesus
