FIGHT TIME…ALL THE TIME

In the night I kept hearing that it is Fight Time…All the Time. I certainly think this true and easy to ignore if ‘things are going OK’ in our daily routines. I also sense this: It is time to Armor Up for the fight. The fight is against the schemes of the devil. It is not against flesh and blood. It’s a spiritual fight.

Paul, an apostle, wrote, ”Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil spiritual forces in the heavens.” (Ephesians 6:11-12)

This is a formidable fight that constantly requires full preparation for the battle. We are called to take a stand against ‘rulers, authorities and cosmic powers of darkness, against evil and spiritual forces in the heavens.’ The fight is to know evil from good, right from wrong, sin from grace and virtue, the Bible way or another way, or the Kingdom way or the other way.

This fight involves our cultural habits, social ethics and morals, religious practices, political powers, personal consciousness of evil and darkness. We mark out a ‘red line’ in the spirit world and fight it with Holy Spirit weapons while fully clothed with the Armor of God. We must speak God’s truth to the evil liar…the devil.

A good fight is the one we win.
