FALSE CELEBRATION
I find nothing in the history of Halloween either past or present that has strong and pure motivations for celebration in Christian thought and practice. The terms of All Hallows Eve and such (even calling them Christian traditions and holidays) are based purely on superstition and nonsense. The basis of perhaps ‘honoring the dead’ or ‘praying for the dead’ or ‘praying to the dead’ has been centuries gone and past. Besides the word ‘holiday’ means ’holy day’ and not the current surge of witchcraft.
Now Halloween is based in fear, dread, costume, threat (trick-or-treat), scary clothes, witchcraft, demons, witches and evil of every kind. It now concentrates on death, devils, spiders and webs, bones and skeletons, witches and potions, trances and the demonic. I cannot recommend in any way that Christians participate in this so-called holiday. Why would we train our children in these practices?
Go have a Burrito and some Iced Tea and be released from this ungodly practice and celebration.
“But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Jesus
